How to go island-hopping around Moreton Bay

I grew up in the Redlands, so a lot of my time was spent out on the water and around the bay. We would go wakeboarding, take boat trips in little tinnies and explore the islands off the coastline.

From the air, you would be surprised to find that there are many islands scattered throughout Moreton Bay. While Stradbroke Islands (or Straddie as the locals say) and Moreton Island are two of the best known, there are many more you can explore in a day. Best of all, you don’t even need your own boat to do so, with day tours operating, ferry connections and an island you can even walk to.

With Queensland’s gorgeous sunny weather and summer pretty much a year round thing, there has never been a better time to island hop around Moreton Bay. You can read more about it in the article I wrote for Queensland Tourism on Queensland.com.
